The audiovisual campaign for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid 2026 was built around an old Madrid saying "de Madrid al cielo" -> from Madrid straight to heaven. The image that carries it is simple: a model, mid-jump, against nothing but sky.
Getting there meant shooting her against green and putting the sky in afterwards.
Process & Techniques
The key was built with Red Giant's Primatte Keyer and finished with hand-rotoscoping, which a jumping figure (hair, fabric, fast-moving edges) always ends up needing.
The sky came from footage chosen by the client, and it had to be reframed shot by shot: a plate that works behind one jump sits wrong behind the next, so the horizon and the movement have to be matched to each cut. Then the model's colour was worked to belong in that light, with blurs and flares added at the seams so the two layers stopped reading as two layers. The film went on to grading after my pass.
