Theatre play in which I collaborated compositing the soundtrack, designing the visual and sound space and with video support.
SYNOPSIS
What a crappy Monday. Everyone is talking about the same thing in the hallways. Lucía, a primary school teacher, would swear she saw a group of parents giving her dirty looks as she entered school this morning, and the janitor didn't even greet her. 'What the hell is going on?' Lucía thinks. And her worst fears are confirmed; that video she sent years ago has been leaked, and the whole school has seen it. Everyone has an opinion on it, and they all ask the same question: What would happen if that video reaches the kids?
MY WORK
In the production of this play, I played a pivotal role in crafting an immersive audio and visual experience, as well as helping with video support for social media. Working closely with my friend and director, Irene Herrero Miguel, whose directorial debut was met with great success, I was responsible for the creation of a dynamic sound space, compelling video scenes and songs that drove the choreographies of the characters.
Together, we sought to portray the inescapable grip of the digital world and the gravity of harassment, especially concerning vulnerable groups like women. Throughout the performance, we highlighted the issue of silencing women, utilizing electronic sounds and invasive visuals to transform the stage into a relentless barrage of digital notifications. Floating images, memes, and emojis inundated the audience, serving as powerful reminders of the protagonist's plight and the broader societal implications.
Through these artistic choices, we aimed not only to entertain but also to provoke contemplation and dialogue on the pervasive issue of digital harassment in today's society.
Here, I'm showing some examples of the work I've done.

Vulva - Live
We were able to do a first test at Carlos III University. It was very well received and had the support of Juan Mayorga, one of the most famous playwrights here in Spain. From there, we reviewed everything and after many rehearsals, we performed at Sala Mirador and Teatro del Barrio (Madrid), as well as touring Spain to cities like Zaragoza, Alcalá de Henares...

My takes from the experience
This was my first experience working on a project of this nature. Apart from the success on theatres and among theater critics; creating music, sounds and videos that set the right mood for real-life situations and giving voice to Irene Herrero Miguel's idea, which is born from a deep desire to empower women, fills me with pride.
